Lane named Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support

Gary Lane has been named Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support for Link-Belt Cranes, effective July 1, 2025. Link-Belt President and CEO Melvin Porter made the announcement at the company’s headquarters in Lexington, Kentucky.

Lane is a well-respected veteran of the crane business, possessing nearly 30 years of industry experience. He joined Link-Belt in 2008 as a District Manager covering the central United States, and he spent nine years leading crane sales for Link-Belt dealer General Equipment & Supplies in Minnesota and North Dakota. Most recently, Lane has served as Manager of North American Sales for Link-Belt since early 2021.

Lane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

“Gary’s experience within Link-Belt Cranes, the heavy equipment industry, and his knowledge of distribution will be beneficial in leading the company into the future,” said Melvin Porter. “Gary has always maintained a strong focus on customer service and support.”
