February 6, 2025

Skeeter Collins, a longtime member of the Link-Belt Cranes Sales Management team, has announced he will retire at the end of February 2025.

Throughout his over 50-year professional career, Collins has always been involved with the distribution, sales, and support of Link-Belt construction equipment. His introduction to Link-Belt was as a Distributor Salesman for the Spartan Equipment Company, the Link-Belt distributor in the Carolinas at the time.

Following 14 years with Spartan Equipment, which included an advancement to Branch Management responsibilities, Collins joined the Link-Belt Sales team as District Manager in the southeastern part of the U.S. Over the next 35 years, he earned a reputation as the hardest-working man in the crane business.

Through the years, his dedication to customer satisfaction led to his success and company advancements, including Manager of North American Sales and his current position as Manager of Major Accounts. During his tenure, he made a significant contribution to the Link-Belt brand and opened numerous doors for the company.

“We have been fortunate to call Skeeter Collins a colleague and a friend. We wish him and Linda the very best in his retirement,” said Bill Stramer, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Customer Support.
