The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has announced its 2025 officers and new directors. The announcement came at the association’s annual business meeting last week in Indian Wells, California.

Link-Belt Cranes President and Chief Executive Officer Melvin Porter

Link-Belt Cranes President and Chief Executive Officer Melvin Porter was named treasurer to the 2025 AEM officers, joining fellow executives from Linamar, Caterpillar, Kuhn North America, LBX Company, and AEM. This will be the second consecutive year Porter has acted as treasurer for the AEM Board of Directors.

“It has been a pleasure working with the AEM officers, directors, and the finance committee over the past year,” said Link-Belt Cranes President and Chief Executive Officer Melvin Porter. “I look forward to continuing this work with them in 2025 to keep the association in great financial position to support the membership.”

AEM officers and directors provide strategic direction and guidance for association initiatives that help member companies and the industry succeed. Key action areas include advocacy and public affairs, market information, exhibitions and events, and safety, regulatory, and technical issues.

AEM is North America’s premier trade organization, representing off-road equipment manufacturers and their value chain partners. With a rich history spanning 130 years, AEM serves more than 1,100 member companies across 200+ product lines in multiple sectors, including construction, agriculture, mining, utility, and forestry. AEM supports an industry that contributes approximately $316 billion annually to the U.S. economy while sustaining 2.3 million jobs.
