RTC-8050 Series II on Singer Island

DC Crane Rental Service is utilizing two Link-Belt RTC-8050 Series II, 50-ton capacity cranes on a nine-story time-share building located at the southern tip of Singer Island, Fla., overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Also on the project is an HC-218 lattice boom truck crane.

The new Ocean Pointe Resorts by Marriott is a poured-in-place concrete post-tensioned deck structure with flying forms for the deck panels. Each floor will be 18,000 square feet. The operator is lifting building materials of support timbers and supply boxes to the men with 109 feet of boom, at a 32 degree angle, working out to an 89 foot radius. The largest deck tables lifted are 6,500 pounds, and measure 60 feet by 14 feet.
