Link-Belt
upgrades four telescopic truck cranes to 75 ton capacity
Lexington, Ky (March, 2005) – In late 2004, Link-Belt added to the
continued dominance of the North American truck crane market by
upgrading its highly successful HTC-8670, 70 ton (63.50 mt) telescopic
boom truck crane to the HTC-8675, with a larger 75 ton (68.00 mt) base
rating. Simultaneous with this announcement, this upgrade was also
expanded to include a new HTC-8675LB, long boom model. The corresponding
truck terrain models with rear steer capability, the HTT-8675 and
HTT-8675LB also received the 75 ton rating.
All four of these 75-ton (68.00 mt) upgrades, which are available in
kit form, have served to further enhance the industry leading
productivity and market share of this highly successful lineup of
telescopic truck cranes.
For existing 8670 crane owners, a parts kit is available at
authorized Link-Belt distributors that consists of a new capacity book,
a rated capacity limiter computer chip, and appropriate identification
labels.
“We feel this upgrade will significantly enhance the market
opportunities for both our new and existing customers,” says Rick
Curnutte, telescopic crane product manager.
