Link-Belt announces key management appointments
Lexington, Ky. (July 12, 1999) — Chuck Martz, President of Link-Belt
Construction Equipment Company, announced the appointments of Jim Forshee as
Vice President of Manufacturing and Tom Posch as Vice President and CFO,
effective July, 1999.
Forshee began his career with Link-Belt in Bowling Green, Ky., as a college
student intern in 1975. During the past 24 years, Forshee has held various
positions including Production Scheduling Manager, Total Quality Manager and
most recently, Director of Manufacturing. Forshee graduated from Western
Kentucky University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology.
He resides in Lexington with his wife, Lynn.
Before joining Link-Belt, Posch was most recently the Executive Vice
President, of KI (USA) Corporation in Berea, Ky. Previous to that he was Vice
President for Finance and Administration. Posch also spent 16 years with the
Nissan Motor Manufacturing Company, serving in a variety of manufacturing and
financial positions. Posch will be responsible for Finance, Accounting, Treasury
and Management Information Services. Posch has a Bachelor of Science degree in
Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. Posch, his wife Amy and their
two daughters reside in Lexington.
As a part of this new management structure, Keiji Saito, who most recently
served as the company’s CFO and vice president of manufacturing, will return
to Link-Belt’s parent company, Sumitomo Construction Machinery (SCM) in Japan
in late September. Saito has been assigned the position of International Crane
Manager for SCM’s Nagoya, (Japan) plant. He was appointed to the SCM board of
directors in late June.
