Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company introduces the "Quick Draw" systemLexington, Ky. (December
1, 1999) — Link-Belt announces another innovation, the new
“Quick Draw” system, to improve self-assembly and disassembly time
of the LS-138H II and the LS-208H II lattice boom crawler cranes equipped
with the boom. The “Quick Draw” system uses hydraulic cylinders located in the boom base section to handle counterweights and boom sections. The most immediate benefit of the system is the quick self-assembly and disassembly time. The “Quick Draw” eliminates the requirement of removing the base section to self-assemble with the live mast. It also eliminates the requirement of adding the top section for self-assembly. Link-Belt’s innovative “Quick Draw” design offers several other benefits. Hydraulic cylinders ensure smooth operation, two-part pendants allow for handling and load-out of the counterweights. Self-storing pendants reduce equipment damage and loss at the jobsite. Quick hydraulic hose disconnects enable the operator to remove the base section with minimal effort when necessary, prevents damage to the hydraulic system from contaminants and provides a spotter circuit. “Quick Draw” can load and stack boom sections “two high” on a 48 inch trailer. “We are very excited about our newest innovation,” says Pat Collins, Crane Product Manager. “The “Quick Draw” feature gives the crane owner / operator assembly and disassembly capabilities like he has never had before. Now he can move into a jobsite, quickly assemble the machine and get to work. Less time is spent assembling and more time working. They will make money every time they use it.” To learn more about the “Quick Draw” system, contact your Link-Belt cranes distributor. |
