Saito named to new position

Lexington, Ky. (September 1, 1998) -- Mr. C. Martz, President of Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company, announced today the appointment of Mr. Keiji Saito as CFO/ Vice President Manufacturing, effective September 1, 1998.

Mr.Saito has also been named to the Link-Belt Board of Directors. Saito has held various positions with Sumitomo Construction Machinery (SCM) Co. in Engineering and Manufacturing and most recently served Link-Belt as Director, Manufacturing Services.

In this new position, Saito will provide key liaison between the Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company and its parent, Sumitomo Construction Machinery Co. to coordinate the companies worldwide crane strategy.

With headquarters in Lexington, KY, the Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co. is one of the world’s largest suppliers of telescopic and lattice boom cranes.
