Claflin, Stramer named to new V.P. positions
(Lexington,
KY) - Chuck Martz, president of Link-Belt
Construction Equipment Co., has announced that, effective January 1,
2005, John Claflin, currently Vice President – Sales, Marketing and
Product Support, has accepted the newly created position of Vice
President, Corporate Development and Subsidiary Operations. In a
separate announcement, Bill Stramer will take on the duties of Vice
President – Marketing, Sales and Customer Support.
John Claflin, in his new position, will focus on the company’s growth
potential within the crane industry and its subsidiary operations. John
will bring to bear his 34 years of experience and continue to expand the
potential at both Triad Equipment and Link-Belt Mid Atlantic
distributors, while exploring other new opportunities within the crane
industry.
Bill
Stramer joined Link-Belt in 1975 in Cedar Rapids, IA, where he held
positions in engineering, service and sales. Upon moving to Lexington,
KY in 1989, he was appointed Telescopic Crane Product Manager and
shortly thereafter named Marketing Product Manager for telescopic and
lattice cranes. In 1994 he assumed his most recent position as Director
of Marketing and Sales.
During the month, Claflin and Stramer will be working
closely together to provide an effective transition.
