Scott Construction Equipment Company named Link-Belt distributor in Louisiana and Arkansas

LEXINGTON, Ky. (September, 2001) — John Claflin, vice president, sales and marketing, has named Scott Construction Equipment Co. L.L.C. as the Link-Belt crane distributor in all of Louisiana and most of Arkansas with the exception of six eastern counties.

“Link-Belt is very pleased to be represented by Scott Construction Equipment,” said Claflin. “We look forward to a very strong partnership with this outstanding organization who has extensive crane experience and has been in business for more than 60 years.”

Scott Construction will provide sales and customer support services from 11 locations. In Louisiana they include Baton Rogue, Broussard, Lake Charles, St. Rose, Monroe, Shreveport and Alexandria. In Arkansas, Scott Equipment has four locations. They are Little Rock, Ft. Smith, Texarkana and Springdale.

Jack Fendrick is the president and general manager of the Southern Division headquartered in Baton Rouge. Curley Bordelon is the vice president and the general manager of the Northern Division headquartered in Monroe.

The branch managers are Sam Daquanno (Baton Rogue), Joe Helmer (St. Rose), Virgil Cobb (Lake Charles and Broussard), Curt Hudson (Monroe), John Savage (Shreveport), Frank Close (Alexandria), Ralph Cercy (Little Rock), Gary Caylor (Springdale) and Ft. Smith) and Jerry Edwards (Texarkana).
