Link-Belt names Pinnacle Cranes as distributor in the Carolinas

LEXINGTON, Ky. (December 2001) — John Claflin, vice president, sales and marketing, has named Pinnacle Cranes as the Link-Belt crane distributor in North and South Carolina.

Pinnacle Cranes is a division of Carolina Tractor and Equipment Co., which began operations in 1926 and is one of the oldest Caterpillar dealers in the United States. Pinnacle Cranes will provide sales, service and parts support for North and South Carolina.

Edward I. Weisiger, Jr., president of Carolina Tractor, is also the president of Pinnacle Cranes. Kevin Franklin is the chief financial officer and Reed Owsley is the general manager. Rickey Bailey John Dozier and Patrick Leatherwood are responsible for territory sales and Mark Moose is the parts manager. Pinnacle is located in Charlotte, N.C., at 9000 Statesville Rd.
