Link-Belt names new V.P. Design Engineering
Bruce has more than 22-years experience within the engineering organization at Link-Belt. Bruce started as an associate design engineer and continued to ascend to positions of greater responsibility within the engineering group. In 1992 he was promoted to manager of the hydraulic crane group. White has been involved in the design details that has pushed Link-Belt’s hydraulic crane product line to the forefront of the crane industry during the last 10 years. Bruce is a 1979 of the University of Kentucky. Dan is retiring after 37 years of service, beginning with the Link-Belt Speeder Corp. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as a Junior Design Engineer. Dan moved to Lexington, Ky., in 1978 when the facility became the Hydraulic Crane Division of Link-Belt’s former parent company, the FMC Corp. During the next eight years Dan accepted additional responsibilities in the design engineering group until 1986, when Dan was appointed vice president, design engineering, a position he has held for 15 years. During that time, Dan has overseen the development of Link-Belt’s tremendously successful hydraulic truck crane and lattice boom crane product lines. Dan has served the crane industry in several capacities, including as chairman for the Power Crane and Shovel Association of Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA), and member of the ISO committee for the U.S. crane industry. |
