Battlefield State Historic Site
Perryville Battlefield
State Historic Site is home to one of the bloodiest battles of the
Civil War. The battle marked a
fatal loss of the initiative for the South. Monuments
from several states, honoring their fallen dead from the Perryville
Battle, dot the battlefield site. Enjoy
the beautiful and historical grounds of the park on self-guided
walking trails.
- Shaker
Village of Pleasant Hill
America's finest, largest,
and most completely restored Shaker community and living museum,
Shaker Village provides a view of a much simpler life - demonstrated
through architecture, furniture, and daily activities - as intended by
its founders more than a century ago. Visitors to this National
Historic Landmark enjoy self-guided tours, riverboat excursions and
special events. The village also offers two craft stores, as well as
fine dining and overnight accommodations in restored 19th-century
