Lexington, KY – Link‐Belt, a member of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), hosted Governor Bevin at its facility in Lexington, Kentucky for a 2 ½‐hour program consisting of a facility tour, opportunity to meet with employees, and a meeting with company executives and AEM staff on December 4.

“Link-Belt has more than 650 employees currently producing goods that are sold around the world. These massive cranes are phenomenal pieces of equipment made right here in Kentucky,” said Governor Matt Bevin.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is a North American‐based international trade association providing innovative business development resources to advance the off-road equipment manufacturing industry in the global marketplace. Membership comprises more than 950 companies and more than 200 product lines in the agriculture and construction‐related sectors worldwide.

The I Make America (IMA) campaign was created in 2010 to mobilize AEM member companies and their employees to advocate for pro‐manufacturing policies. Since its creation, AEM has engaged hundreds of member companies in the I Make America campaign.

In 2017, the theme of the I Make America tour is “Our Products. Our Jobs.” and is intended to bring as many elected officials to facilities across the country in order to highlight equipment made in the United States and the jobs that depend on them. The tour will also celebrate the men and women of the industry that help make America.
